Proud of you in California!
My freshman year at X brings back some good memories. Hitch hiking from Northbend and Boomer to school in the morning in snow, rain and occasionally nice weather. Most of my rides dropped my off at LaSalle and then hoped for somebody heading all the way out. Football practice until 5 and then off to work at LaRosa's on Winton and Galbraith. I usually got a ride to work, but the ride back after midnight was usually pretty interesting. and occasionally resulted in a long walk (10 miles or so). I'm sure that your Dad remembers well, he was two :)
Good luck and keep us posted. Uncle Pat

ReplyDeleteOh, yea, I do remember what you indured to get yourself where you needed to go...but you did it...don't think I'd be sticking my thumb out and catching many rides these days...."those were the days my friend, we thought they'd never end"
ReplyDeleteWow who is that guy! How old was I 4 or 5?
ReplyDeleteWhat a stud.........thanks for the pictures! Like I said when I figure things out how to do this I will also post some information.
Checking your picture tonight as we had orientation for Kasey for high school....
Happy birthday little sister. I won't quote your age by as the "XRAY" coverpage says, it was 1967.
ReplyDeleteIf you need to "figure it out" you can always ask Steveo, he is now an expert. Or you can call and we can make it simple.
OK, so what did I miss? If I read your orientation comment correctly, it sounds like Kasey is on her way to being a freshman at an all boys high school. Something in this picture is different.
